The reason being is that you'd be driving closest to the ocean side and get the best views.

We promote the "One Hand Beach Cleanup Movement". This movement asks surfers when getting out of the sea with their surfboards in one hand, to take out with their other hand any marine litter which they may come across.

海から上がったら、片手にサーフボードを、そして、あいているはずのもう片方の手でゴミを拾って帰りましょう。

With a degree of commonsense and courtesy, you could make friends with the local people and surfers, and you may unlock a few secret places that only local those people know about.
地元のサーファーと仲良くしましょう。彼等だけが知っている、素晴らしいローカルポイントへ連れて行ってもらえるかもしれません。
